Access to care is the greatest challenge in closing the treatment gap across the globe, and improving access requires new and creative approaches. These two presentations show how two countries are moving expertise from the medical centers to the communities through unique collaborations between established epilepsy centers and community and regional practitioners.
Neither country has resolved the significant disparity between need and delivered care, but these unique programs create a structure for better care in the future and are already meeting with success. We hope that you will find their experience useful as you consider how to improve the quality of life for people with epilepsy in your country.
