JME conference 26-28 Oct 2012, The Hague

I am contacting you on behalf of Dorothée Kasteleijn-Nolst Trenité and Pierre Genton, who last year chaired a workshop on Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy which was held in Avignon.  As a follow up this year we are running an International Conference on Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy on 26-28 October 2012 at the Bel Air Hotel in The Hague, the Netherlands.

As the ILAE representative of the epilepsy community in your country I hope you will help us to make this event a success by encouraging colleagues and students to attend. To this end we would like to offer your students and colleagues a special discounted registration rate (€295 for students and €395 for authors/academics).

The International Conference on Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy will cut through the confusion that has surrounded Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy (JME) since its worldwide recognition.

Patients with JME – or Janz Syndrome – still face suboptimal management due to uncertainty about the criteria, treatment in the different age groups, and lifestyle recommendations worldwide recognition of the condition. However, in the past five years many studies in JME patients have provided crucial new insights. Discover what these will mean for the future of JME, at the International Conference on Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy at the Bel Air Hotel, The Hague, The Netherlands on October 26th – 28th 2012.

Questions and case histories can be discussed with the distinguished faculty as well as with the ‘father’ of JME: Prof Dr Dieter Janz from Berlin.

We hope that you or your colleagues will be able to attend this exciting event.

Looking forward seeing you in The Hague,

Dorothée, Pierre and Toby
