Rádi bychom Vás informovali o projetku ILAE „Hand over hand“. Jedná se o provázání epilepsie a sportu. Aktuálním úkolem tohoto projektu je pokusit se navázat kontakt se sportovními asociacemi, funkcionáři, sportovci a pokusit se domluvit, zorganizovat focení pacientů s epilepsií spolu se známými tvářemi různých sportovních odvětví.
V případě, že budete mít zájem se tohoto úkolu ujmout pak se prosím neváhejte přihlásit do pracovní skupiny EpiStop.

Dear Delegate,
Thank you for lending your support to the Hand over Hand sports and epilepsy initiative. Interest has been enormous, and the project promises to be a hugely successful one.
We would now like to invite to you take the next step in developing Hand over Hand. This will involve making contact with an athlete/athletes from your country in order to arrange a photo shoot with a person with epilepsy.
Your first step should be to explore the ways in which you could make contact with an athlete. There are several channels open to you. For example, you may wish to contact one or more of the following:
– Your government sporting authority
– Your national Olympic committee. A list of Olympic committees can be found here: http://www.olympic.org/national-olympic-committees
– National teams
We have provided you with an official letter outlining the aims and scope of the Hand over Hand project (attached), as you may need to present this to athletes and/or sporting organisations. We will also provide consent forms which should be signed by both the athlete(s) and by the person with epilepsy who will be photographed. This will follow shortly.
If you feel that you need more support in securing an athlete/athletes who are willing to participate, please contact us and we will be happy to provide support for your endeavours.
Guidelines for Photography
– Where possible, it would be beneficial to secure the services of a voluntary professional photographer. Perhaps the photographer from your local hospital may be of assistance. However, if this is not possible, amateur photographs which are at 3Mb in size will be of sufficient print quality.
– The photographs should ideally show the young person with epilepsy and the athlete/ sportsperson participating in the same sporting activity. A “live action” image is preferred (for example, both parties playing football together).
– A short caption (2-3 sentences) outlining the names of those being photographed, and the sport, should be included.
– Photographs should be submitted to this email address. The Hand over Hand team will arrange professional printing and framing
